Four aspects of peace are emphasized during a visit from Peacemobile.  We feel these four aspects create the "whole" and help children learn skills to become peacemakers in their daily lives.

Peace for Me

To help children discover the wonder and beauty within themselves

 by increasing self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-confidence.

  Masking How I Feel

Lift the flaps to discover the emotions the faces are masking.

Make a mask of how you would like people to see you.

Do you ever hide how you are feeling?

Peacemobile Exhibits  Face It

Look in the mirror and make a picture of how

    you are feeling.

No one is perfect but everyone is special.

  Emotion Commotion

Place your head in the frame.

Make a face to express an emotion.

When have you felt like some of the

    emotions displayed?

  Thumbody Special

Add your thumbprint to the display. You are

    unique.

How can you make the world more peaceful?

"Peacemobile made me think about important stuff." - Harry

Peace for Us

To help children explore and practice cooperation, communication,

conflict resolution and respect for others in their daily relationships.

  Block Talk

Describe your block design to someone else and see if they can build one the same.

It is important to listen and to work together as a team.

My SpaceThis is Me, This is Us

Use Lego to build the type of house you would

    like to live in.

    Everyone’s suggestions are important.

Are your possessions just for your benefit?

  Stop! Think! Peace!

Use puppets to act out a solution to a problem.

    Conflict resolution.

This is Me, This is Us

Use clay to make things that represent you as

an individual and the group as a whole.

We are all unique yet we also have things in

    common with others.

"I definitely liked the modelling clay because it was good to squish your fingers in." - Sam

Peace for Everybody

To help children examine the possibilities of others and

celebrate the cultural diversity of the human race.

  Around the WorldPeace Box

Discuss cards describing different countries and make a

    person in national costume.

Conflict often starts because people don’t understand those

    who are different from themselves.

We All Share the Same World

    Design a Peace Flag.

How do we overcome those things that cause disagreements

between people from different countries and cultures?

  Unfair Snakes and Ladders

Play the game with rules that give some an advantage

    over others.

Not everyone has the same chances in life.

How can we make the world a fairer place?

  Peace Weavings

    Weave fabric onto a loom.

Combining our gifts makes the world strong and beautiful.

"I hope we can do it again." - Nicole

Peace for the Planet

To help children address the need for care and appreciation of our earth.

 Peace Doves

  Rainforest Rescue

Play a game to save animals from extinction.

We need to look after the world’s amazing environments.

What can we do to make our dreams for peace come true?

  No More Litter

Use litter pictures to make an anti-litter poster.

How can we get rid of our rubbish in a responsible way?

  Recycle It

What are the benefits of recycling?

"I enjoyed making my peace dove." - Charlie
